The Platform

Radical Transparency

Right now, if you want to know what your county government is spending, who won a contract, or what was decided at last month's Fiscal Court meeting — good luck. You'd have to drive to the courthouse, hope someone's available, and hope the records are organized.

That ends January 2027. Every ordinance, every bid, every contract award, every meeting — online and searchable. No trips to the courthouse. No connections required.

What you're looking at is a concept demo I put together since announcing my campaign — to show voters exactly what I mean when I say Radical Transparency.

Transparency only works if we hold up our end. We commit to keeping it current. You hold us to it.

"Transparency isn't a magic website. It's a commitment." We'll post everything we know and everything we're considering. The platform is the tool — but the roundtables are where the real conversation happens.

What This Platform Delivers
  • All county bids posted publicly — every contract opportunity open to any qualified bidder, with full specifications, deadlines, and award results published so the community can see who won, what they bid, and why
  • Every county job opening posted within forty-eight hours of authorization
  • All awarded contracts published within seven days of signing
  • Fiscal Court meetings livestreamed and archived
  • Full ordinance and code library — searchable, free (note: digitizing existing records takes time — this will be built out progressively after taking office)
  • Monthly community roundtables across the county
  • County Treasurer Reports — monthly and annual — published in full upon certification
  • Full operating budget — proposed, amended, and adopted
  • Annual spending report — every vendor, every dollar
  • All committee appointments published upon appointment — member name, appointing authority, and term duration
  • We will never sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to secure a deal or make something happen — when taxpayer money is involved, the public has a right to know, and no contract or opportunity is worth trading that away
Where the law draws the line
Legal & Privacy Limitations

Radical Transparency means publishing everything we legally can. Certain matters are protected by law and cannot be disclosed:

  • Active litigation, mediation, or settlements — protected under attorney-client privilege while ongoing
  • Personnel and HR records protected under Kentucky law
  • Ongoing investigations where disclosure would compromise the process
  • Private constituent communications submitted in confidence
  • Negotiations where premature disclosure would harm the county's position
There may be situations where we are legally restricted from sharing information or even confirming that something exists. In those cases we will simply note that we are unable to comment on the matter at this time — and nothing more. We will never mislead you, but there are legal limits on what can be said and when.

Why This Matters

The county budget decides what roads get fixed, how many EMS units run a shift, and where your tax dollars end up. Right now you can't easily read it. Under Radical Transparency, every version — from the first proposal to every amendment — is posted the same day it moves. You see what was asked for, what was approved, and what changed.

Josh — On your ballot you'll see a write-in line for the Judge/Executive race. Print clearly: WRITE IN SPEARS. Bubble in or check the write-in box next to it if your ballot requires it. Most importantly — do NOT select a straight party ticket at the top of your ballot. Voting straight Republican or straight Democrat will void your write-in vote on the entire ballot. Skip that box entirely. Step-by-step guides will be posted right here on this site.
